Thomas Wiegandt and friends - Dolce Vita - the music of life (2012)
> Dolce Vita <-> Varieté De La Vie <-> Living And Alive <-> Vielfalt Des Lebens <
Acoustic true vibration music, which is all about life in a poetic and passionate way. It's not polished, but perfect as it is - in its imperfection and uniqueness. Lots of different sounds and tunes, talking and singing in different languages. Life and music: it's good to keep both natural and real. Dedicated to the generous nature of the universe and the ancestors, who look after us.
Music played, written and edited by Thomas Wiegandt 2002-2012 with the help of these friends: (1) Dink Rowe: voc. - (3,8,11,19) Basil Schur: clarinet - (4,10,22) Roxan Riou: voc. - (6,15,17) Seán: voc. - (12) Aleesha Wiegandt: voc. - (16,20) Ailin Becker: calimba, perc. - (23) Mark Minard: drum - (24) Sarah Zugno: voc. - Refléxion Inutile was written in Paris ~1980 by Corinne ? or Natalie Benaim

Thomas Wiegandt and friends - Songs For Change (2012)  A WORK IN PROGRESS!

Not like the other recordings, but hey! - it is necessary again to do this to raise polotical awareness. This is partly a re-working of familiar songs, so people can easily learn them and sing them on demos or other protest events. We, the people deserve to be treated fair and with respect. After all we have the power to change everything! So get off your arse and do something about it! We don't have to be bullied by politians and bankers. Actions speak louder than words. Write and play and distribute politically relevant music!

Drum Versions - everyone can drum along!
Thomas Wiegandt (drum, vocals), Iwan Rotin (drum)

Thomas Wiegandt and friends - Reggae Cloud Dance (2010)
It starts with a heartbeat intro which soon leads into long piece, a mix of Reggae and Jazz, improvised in a laid-back and mellow way by 7 friends - musicians and non-musicians - who explore an unknown cosmos of sounds by listening to each other and playing music improvisations together, thus creating an instant ambient sounding composition in the present moment without a particular concept or a leader. It ends with 4 tribal percussion pieces, a playful celebration of togetherness. Enjoy the Reggae Cloud Dance.

Acoustic Jungle Jazz Improvisations (1989)
Only for the adventurous listener! This unique music is totally improvised and has been recorded on a 4 track tape machine with some overdubs 1989 in West Cork, Ireland. Track 1 to 10 had been released as a tape cassette. Track 11 to 14 never really got finished. Warning, some of the tracks are sometimes badly out of time, this was before Thomas got into drumming! But then things always fall into place again: magically strange and strangely magic.

Jeremy Baines: flutes, vocals, perc.

Time Temple: Reflections (1989)
The music on this CD is ambient music to slow down and to enjoy being in the moment, being in a time temple...
The improvisations, played mainly in eastern scales on acoustic instruments, create a peaceful and meditative atmosphere. The different pieces are reflections of different moods, ever changing with the flow of life.
Improvised music is an authentic free flow of energy and vibration in the present moment and thus the creation of an instant composition by the Spirit. The music has been been recorded in 1988 in West Cork, Ireland.
This CD is similar to the Time Temple - Present Moments CD, but played on various different instruments.
Thomas Wiegandt: Harp-zither, percussion
Jeremy Baines: Flutes, ocarinas, bells, euklang, hooveridoo

Time Temple: Present Moments - Ambient Zen Music for Harp (1988)
Relaxing and time dissolving eastern sounding Zen harp music to enjoy the present moment whatever you might be doing...
This purely acoustic music has been composed and played by Thomas Wiegandt on a beautifully sounding one hundred year old harp zither.
In his own words: "This music has been inspired by Japanese Zen music played on a zither called the Koto. As I did not have a Koto, I used a Bavarian harp-zither, which had been built in 1903 by Kerschensteiner for my great-grandfather Heinrich Reuss."
The improvisations played in different scales and moods represent the flow and change of the everlasting and timeless Now. These tracks have been recorded in 1988 in West Cork, Ireland and finally have been transferred to CD in 2004. Enjoy!
The CD has 16 tracks with a total playing time of 50:38
Feedback: “I like the CD very very much - and am listening to it right now. (all day actually).” (Aranos - Czech musician living in Ireland)

Thomas Wiegandt: Out There - Somewhere ... - a musical expedition (1984)
A “Kraut Rock” music collage of nicely diverse pieces surfaced after 20 years.
(“Kraut Rock”, meanwhile a trade mark, is a derogative in the Enlish language for the inventive and highly individual Rock music in Germany in the 1970s)
All acoustic and electric instruments have been played and recorded by multi-intsrumentalist Thomas Wiegandt in a farm house in the small village of Calle in the north of Germany in 1983/84. Only single takes were recorded on tape cassette, no overdubbing of instruments, several instrument are sometimes played simultaneous at the same time.
Guest artists: tom cat Jimmy Kater and film star Marika Roekk. Straight transfer from original tape in 2004. Sound editing by PeterSai-Ngarm in 2007. The CD has 16 tracks with a total playing time of 57:44

Cosmic Radio - Calle 33 (1983/84)

“Kraut Rock” jam sessions from a remote place.
(“Kraut Rock”, meanwhile a trade mark, is a derogative in the Enlish language for the inventive and highly individual Rock music in Germany in the 1970s)

Once upon a time there was a community of unusual individuals who lived together in
an old farm house in the countryside in northern Germany. There postal address was Calle 33. They experimented with a variety of alternative and unconventional ways of life, successful or not, I think no one will be ever able to tell. They had a lot of quite common as well as strange self-built musical instruments and they played music, but this was something that just happened and unfolded as by magic by tuning into cosmic radio! None of the players was too sure how this happened and it did not matter one bit! As it happened some of the spontaneous sessions were recorded onto magnetic tapes, some of which got mouldy, but some others were saved and digitally transferred onto CD, for you to listen to these nights full of musical surprises that no one can remember too clearly ...
